Why am I up at this hour?

I'm working on a short story/book series that has caught my interest. I'm doing some research into a few things by thumbing through some of the drier parts of Hawking's The Universe in a Nutshell and downloading a few (few dozen that is) Hubble pictures. Working title Outer Rim I. characters debate--it is high tech vs any tech sufficiently advanced is indistinguishable from magic. Those who live within the Rim are high-tech, or low tech..whatever. Those beyond the Rim use magic..or so they say. The inner rim characters think differently. And when magical evil minions adopt tech methods--the story is no longer worth reading. ::rolls eyes:: I'm going for it anyway.
